Waste not, want not
Something can be done about the high cost of health care and it starts with patients knowing the costs of health care services and supplies before buying them. Armed with price and quality information, patients can and will make smart purchase decisions. When that happens, patients, plan sponsors, and all fellow employees win by slowing the pace of health care cost increases.
Click on the this “Who Cares?” link to see useful facts intended to be shared with employees and spouses via email, newsletter, bulletin board posting and every other creative means to help everyone make informed medical purchases.
Whether about Medical care or any other topic, education is an ongoing and repetitive process. One communication strategy to consider is posting this information for just Blood Pressure for 10 days, and then adding the Cholesterol data for 10 days followed at ten day intervals with additional drug category data. This 4-6 week campaign will then be followed by similar information on other health care services such as doctor office visits and lab and x-ray purchases. Or, post/communicate all the information at one time.
Should you have any additional employee benefit questions or would like to discuss this material in detail, please don’t hesitate to call the Denman Team. |
